Hrithik Roshan vs katrina kaif

Hrithik Roshan or Katrina Kaif? who's your pick? Both perfectly nail down the looks part and have illustrious Bollywood career. but when it comes down to one on one who fairs best?  The comparisons have been between same gender actors. Here I am comparing two Bollywood biggies picked at random. Both have 'Bang Bang'ed together. but have you ever wondered what sets them apart aside from the obvious differences and what they have in similar? never? me too.

Thumbs UP

Hrithik has 2 thumbs...2 effing thumbs on one hand!!  As a kid when he got bored of sucking one thumb he could simply switch to the other one. so cool! on the other hand, Katrina has normal number of fingers. Borrrring!

Hrithik Roshan had his father as his godfather in Bollywood, helping him get started in the industry with 'Kaho na pyar hai'. The movie was a huge success. his dancing, looks and acting ( in that order) got people talking and the industrywallahs to sit up and take notice.
Katrina not coming from a film background debuted in a 'best to forget'  movie called 'Boom'.  The poor thing must've signed it because it also starred big name Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. The movie bombed at the box-office but she recovered and found 'bhai', Mr. Salman Khan, the godfather of many foreign exports and local duds who just won't call it quits. She starred alongside him in 'Maine pyar kyun kiya' which performed well at the box-office. Her looks and 'salman's new girlfriend' tag got people curious, helping her garner more projects.

Diverse roles-                                                                                        Diverse Roles-

5.A thief in 'Dhoom 2'.                                                                5. An ISI agent in 'Ek Tha Tiger.'

                                                                   'Ex's and Oh's '

Hrithik had a long happy marriage with Suzanne Khan until they separated recently. there was speculation of him dating Kangana in the past.  with Kangana, herself calling  him her  "silly ex".
Katrina was Salman's new obsession after  Aishwarya Rai.  their relationship was all over  the news at all times. Then it ended like it does often in Tinseltown. both went their ways, where Katrina stumbled onto Ranbir Kapoor the new casanova in town. There were talks of marriage but all the rumors were put to rest when they broke up,  Katrina  is one of the very few actress or maybe the only actress who  has checked off dating both Khan and a Kapoor from her list.

The Fantastico five minutes

As the clock struck twelve, Aakashi released the sky lantern from her grip and saw it rise in the air. it wasn't rising alone, her wish for a fantastico year ahead was also attached to it. she stayed there, watching it float in the air approaching the sky illuminated with fireworks. slowly it vanished from her sight and her eyes traced their way back to ground. just then she heard the door bell ring.

"happy new year, my love!"
a tall, dark and handsome stranger was flashing his dazzling smile at Aakashi and calling her
"my love! no time to waste, haste! your ride's waiting for you."
with that he shifted his fit and fab tuxedo draped body unblocking the view of "her" ride.

"Tiagooooo!"  Aakashi stretched 'o' way too long for a shiny orange Tata Tiago was parked at her doorway. she was saving her earnings to buy this car. the gentleman who resembled a Greek god took her hand and seated her on the cushy seats of the car. after taking a seat beside Aakashi, the angel faced gentleman popped open a bottle of champagne, pouring the sparkling liquid in a glass which he offered to her. she hadn't refused anything till now and she didn't refused again. either this was going to be a big stupid mistake or a wonderful turn of fate, she thought.
Aakashi refrained herself from asking any questions fearing it would burst this beautiful dream she was living like a balloon. but she didn't mind making some small talk.
"I think I know you from somewhere."
the charming young man flashed his pearly whites, flashed it again then again until something struck her mind.
oh, yes, he was the guy from that tooth paste commercial whose sparkly white smile attracted every woman on the street and who concludes the ad by saying "clean the teeth street style!"
such a bright smile could be hazardous for her eyes so she shifted her gaze to the window. it was new years eve so the streets were buzzing with celebration, she smiled and dug deeper in the seat. before she could make herself anymore comfortable, the car came to a halt.
the pretty guy opened the door for her.  Aakashi got out of the car and found herself standing in front of...
.... her house! Aakashi was confused. when she turned back, the limo and the toothpaste guy was gone. still baffled, she went into her house and buried herself in the couch. she re-winded the whole episode in her head, trying to make sense of it all. she re-winded again, from the time she lit the lantern and released it with her wish. was her wish magically granted? but she specifically asked for a fantastic year not fantastic five minutes. unable to find any good reason for what happened she decided to brush it off as a joke of life. she switched on the TV to take her mind off that incident. news channels were airing the new year celebrations from around the globe as it arrived. spectacular firework display over Sydney opera house, Eiffel tower and Trafalgar square. new year was yet to arrive in USA with 40 seconds left. times square ball was descending.
"HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017" flashed on the TV screen.

The story of suicide: From the end to the start.

The coming of age novel The Story of A Suicide by Sriram Ayer speaks about the sensitive time that is youth. the story revolves around four key characters Hari,Sam,Mani and Charu. The story-line is enthralling which keeps you hooked. I devoured this book in one sitting. I liked the clever idea of the author to start the opening chapter with a suicide letter. It has an instant impact and stuns the reader immediately. The theme is relevant. The characters are neatly sketched and are very relatable. The parallelism of the four character's journey results in a curious page turning read.

In the chapter 'I am gay' we are introduced to the first character Hari. Hari is gay but hasn't come out of the closet yet. we see that Hari lives in a  close knit happy family. Hari kept his visit to the national seminar on rights of sexual minorities a secret from his family. his hurried and nervous exit from the seminar throws a light  on the state of homosexuals in our society. Being insecure about our true self and try to hide it from the society especially from our family in order not to upset them or be ridiculed for not being 'normal' is a cruel reality we need to confront as a society. In the chapter 'I love you' Hari's traumatic past experience is revealed.

In the chapter 'Do you even care' we meet Sam. Sam is a rich and hansome tech geek who is obsessed with posting every little updates of his life on twitter. His relationships often suffer because of his careless attitude. His complicated relationship with charu and how he deals with rejection, jealousy is perfectly depicted in the story. his pot smoking sessions and manipulation by Aditya brings new twist in the tale.

In the chapter 'Take care of my son' we get familiar with Mani's backstory. Mani's character bears a striking resemblance to Raju Rastogi (sharman joshi's character) from 3 idiots. He comes from a poor family who used to be a child laborer. He was raised by his mother alone. His academic excellence attracted attention of authorities who funded his education. so clearly a lot of hopes and expectations were riding on his shoulders. eventually he is disappointed by his failure in academics and can't cope up with pressure anymore. he tries to commit suicide but fortunately is saved by Alex and others in nick of time.

In the same chapter we are introduced to Charu, a character who is feminist, headstrong woman with enchanting beauty who won't bow before anyone and fights back when tough times befalls her. When her privacy is violated as her illicit pictures are taken without her knowledge and she is blackmailed, her emotional break down and trauma feels so real that makes you want to give her a hug and tell her 'everything is gonna be alright'. you think Charu is over but she quickly comes to senses and gets a hold of reality.

The real gem of this book, however, are the secondary characters:
Hari's Father Mr. Narendar Hegde who is proud of his son's achievements but just can't accept the fact that his son is gay.
Anjali, The extremely supportive elder sister of Hari and 'Monica' of the Hegde family. she is caring and totally a  'I'll be there for you' type friend to Hari.
Alex, a professor at KIT Madras who has a unique and interesting style of teaching. He proves himself a savior by saving Mani's life and then lending helping hand to Charu. He is one of those people who do as they preach.
Aditya is a extremely manipulative boy and a drug addict. He is the 'friend' who our parents warn us to stay away from.

The novel is not just another finding hope story and seeing the sliver lining. The novel touches subjects that are sensitive and not often talked about like depression, sexuality, bullying, abuse, peer pressure etc but nevertheless demands attention. while books around these topics can tend to get indulgent or preachy, Sriram Ayer handles the sensitive subjects with poignancy and grace. It can be a challenging read for some but a must.
Sriram Ayer has put in efforts to make every exchange between characters authentic. they use urban lingos which teens nowadays use. the raw honesty with which the characters interact and speak their mind makes it a refreshing read. All the characters are going through some kind of insecurities and deal with it differently which makes the readers get a well-rounded sense of their motivations. The novel has enough heart to make you sincerely care about the characters. It delivers constant punches of unpredictable twists and intrigue.
for example, when charu saw her photo in the phone and broke down. call me pessimistic or what, I thought 'oh no, she's going to commit suicide' but I was pleasantly surprised when she did not and instead sought help from Alex.
At its heart the story is about catastrophe, survival and self discovery. It is extremely important that all teenagers and adults read this book. All in all, The Story of A Suicide is thought-provoking, troubling and captivating.

The human body uses a varied number of vitamins and minerals in different quantities for its different metabolic processes. The ideal option to get these vitamins and minerals is to have meals containing healthy unprocessed foods that are known to have proper levels of these vitamins and minerals on a daily basis. Just like our parents kept telling us when we were kids! Or in some cases even after we have grown up!!
However, in the modern world where life is fast paced, many of us do not end up taking the required amount of vitamins from our food. This could be because we are either too busy to have proper nutritious meals on a daily basis, don’t have access to the right meals every day or even some special reasons like being pregnant, suffering from alcoholism or following a specific diet like vegan.

Below is a list of people who might be more susceptible to vitamin deficiencies if they don’t plan and consume their meals properly
  • Pregnant women
  • Breastfeeding mothers
  • Individuals who take alcohol above the recommended amounts
  • Narcotic drug users
  • People on low calorie diets
  • Smokers
  • Vegans/Vegetarians
  • Women who excessively bleed during menstruation
Vitamin deficiencies
How deficiencies affect us is dependent on which vitamin or mineral we are deficient in. Some deficiencies have an immediate impact while the effect of some take longer. For example, deficiency in some types of vitamin B can lead to visual reactions like cracked lips or sores around the mouth. But being deficient in calcium can cause damage to our bones over a period of few months or years. Many studies have shown that a majority of the Indian population is deficient in at least one crucial vitamin. This means that a majority of us are susceptible to the health issues caused by vitamin deficiency. This is why it is important for us to make sure that we make changes in our lifestyle to meet our daily nutrition requirement through the meals we eat. If we can’t do that, then the least we should do is take the help of vitamin and mineral supplements.

Some things to consider when using supplements
The word supplement by its literal definition means a thing added to something in order to complete or enhance it. Therefore, dietary supplements should never be considered to be standalone cures or replacements for a regular diet. Anyone or any company claiming otherwise is clearly misinformed and doing so for their personal or commercial gain.
Another important point is, our body has a limit of how much of each vitamin or mineral it can absorb at a time. This means that taking vitamins and minerals in quantities higher than the daily requirement is of no use and in some cases can end up being harmful due to the toxic nature of some minerals when consumed in high quantities. The body will either flush this excess out on a daily basis or will react in a negative way. Hence it is important to be wary of dietary supplement brands that claim to be better for you as they have higher quantities of vitamins and minerals like 200%, 300 % or even in some cases 1000% of recommended daily allowance.
There are some exceptions to this where the body does have the ability to absorb higher quantity of a vitamin or mineral but this is only recommended as a way to tackle severe cases of deficiency and should strictly be done only after consulting with a physician.

Why you should consider Purayati’s range of supplements as your choice for dietary supplements?

All the points mentioned above were derived through exhaustive research. But we recommend you to cross check these points by doing your own research and once you are convinced about the benefits of supplements, we suggest using Purayati’s range of supplements because they were developed and manufactured by keeping these very points in mind. As an added advantage, we are sure that we are the most economical dietary supplement brand available online in India. We are so confident about this that if you find a product that has the same formula as ours at a cheaper price then do let us know and we will give you your money back**

We have to put those two stars only to make sure someone doesn’t misuse our policy through bogus cases. But if you have a valid claim, contact us at and we will make sure you get your money back.
